I had this dream early this morning that Chuck D left Public Enemy, so to fill the gap one of the other guys in the group who wasn't Flav took over vocals, and I joined the band on bass guitar.
Dreams don't get much cooler than that. The sucky part was that I woke up during the dream, so I had that slow dawning that it wasn't actually happening, and that in fact I had to go to work, and wasn't going to play a show with Public Enemy that day. Sucked.
I did get my first story in for uni, the city council did their best to not answer the phone, so it's not that strong an article, but could become publishing-worthy with some effort next week. Next week! I need a new story. Shit. Know of anthing happening/about to happen in the Harbour area?
We're writing some new songs in Kitty Hawk, somewhat as a band. Last night we were working on this thing, and we needed a middle/outro section, and I literally said how about something like this, and played a perfect grungey riff almost on the first attempt that slotted right in. So our sound is coming together, we're all pitching in, all attempting to play Korgs and Casios lying around that we really shouldn't, haha. We've got a gig at a place I think is called the Vegas Girl or something, it's a strip bar on K Rd. I didn't realise what it was until last night when Kent said it wouldn't be the last time we played a strip bar...
The new Arcade Fire album, Neon Bible, arrived at work today, for sale from Monday. Listening to it now. Sounds like it was recorded in a canyon.
Two more tracks from my latest albums are up for free for this month... one from each album. Pictures on TV from THLF, and It's Not Worth The Pain from The Siren.
The other two free tracks currently will be pulled any day now, but you can get both the albums from txttunes, or amplifier (THLF only at this stage).
If none of that made sense to you, then ah well.

2. Tenacious D - Pick Of Destiny
3. The Good the Bad and the Queen - S/T
4. Fionn Regan - the End of History
