Youtube surfing is fun. This post brought to you by young me
Sometimes you come across stuff relevant to your interests you never knew existed.

And then, via covers both you and I also never knew existed (in this case, the Manics doing Suede's 'The Drowners' - Googletube it yourself) you come across live clips that make you realise you're now officially old enough to say to the youngsters 'they don't write them like this anymore'.

I've heard the new song by the Verve, and it's meh. If there's any 90s band who need to reunite and right the wrongs of their latter days, it's Suede.

I think for this reason, a lot of bands must HATE YouTube. In days of yore, an old VHS tape of a very young version of the band, or a shit live performance, would only be circulated to tens of people and become a thing of legend.

Now, however, days after a clip surfaces, hundreds of thousands of people have seen it, NME has slated it, and the BBC News does a feature on it to remind us all how with it they are, knowing both 'who the bands is' as well as 'what YouTube is'.

I've been surfing YouTube a while, and never seen this. Even back in the days of reading obsessively about the Manics, I never read about a video for this song... it's bizarre to find.

But I see your point, for sure. So many times at work someone suggests something be categorised 'Science/Tech' because it's vaguely related to the internet, and I can argue 'but it's just a video of Britney/Lindsay/Paris being drunk, and barely even entertainment news', but if the video is on the interwebs, it's a Sci/Tech feature. When I'm on I try to fill it with crazy science and NASA stuff...

I'm not sure if you commented before or after I edited the entry and added the Seude video - if before, I recommend you come back and watch it.
